The bill (Reg. No. 10472-1) changes the sphere of application of the Law "On Protection of Personal Data" by indicating, among other things, that it applies to all actions of processing personal data, and not only those in databases of personal data.
It regulates the problem of transborder data transmission.
It is also proposed to extend the grounds for personal data processing in comparison to the current version of the Law "On Protection of Personal Data".
The bill harmonizes the norms of the laws "On Protection of Personal Data", "On Access to Public Information" and "On Information".
The bill presupposes also extension of rights of the subjects of personal data.
It is also aimed at application of transparency and honesty principles in processing personal data.
